The house is tucked away in a traffic free area which is also very quiet and peaceful. The house has 4/5 bedrooms two of which are reserved for Homestay guests. Our main lounge is large by modern British standards. There are two sofas to sit on and a 50 inch TV to watch. Help yourselves to tea and coffee from the kitchen. The main bathroom is a wet room and a hot shower is available 24 hours per day. We also have a second lounge which guests may want to use for privacy. We have full central heating, Wi-Fi and satellite TV. There is spare fridge space reserved for guests and we will provide Halal food upon request. There is a convenience store about 7 minutes walk away which is open until 11 pm ,a local center which has a range of shops and facilities including a health center (10 mins), an urban farm and a nature trail (10 mins) The city center is a 15 min bus ride away with buses every 10 minutes. Leeds is booming with new shopping complexes .Big names such as Harvey Nicholls, John Lewis, Debenhams and Marks and Spencer are there. Leeds is a lot cheaper than London and because it's not too big you can soon be out of the city and into the Yorkshire dales. Historic York is only 15 miles away. Manchester, city of football is 30 miles away and you can get there by bus in one hour. A bus to London (200 miles) will take approx. 5 hours. Going by train although more expensive will only take 2 hours

The local center is a 4 minute walk away .There are shops and supermarkets, cafes and bars .Just down Green Road is a small memorial to Captain Oates who died with Scott on his race to the south pole and who once lived in Meanwood. Further on down Green Lane is the park and nature trail. ABOUT A MILE AWAY IS THE SUBURB OF HEADINGLEY WITH IT'S TEST CRICKET GROUND AND THE CARNEGIE STADIUM, HOME TO THE LEEDS RHINOS RUGBY LEAGUE CLUB. iTS AWASH WITH STUDENTS, CAFES AND RESTAURANTS, BARS AND PUBS. iT ALSO BOASTS TWO OF THE WORLDS OLDEST CINEMAS.
To venture further afield walk from the house for 2 minutes and you are at the bus stop, the one on the other side of the road . Get on a number 7 bus (only no.7 and you can be in central Leeds in 15 minutes. Then the world is your oyster.
